I couldn't agree more with the statement that most AJAX is "Hype". Ajax is certainly something that has been around for quite a long time and would have been much more adopted back in the 90's had Netscape been up to snuff at the time.
In any event there are lots of neat things being created with it no matter what you want to call it. For those that are just tired of hearing about it here is a 30 second guide to learning AJAX.
Jeff Sandquist announces another new feature for channel 9. The Channel 9 Clipster.
From Jeff:
Hey we just launched a new feature on Channel 9, we call it The Clipster. Its like a PVR for Channel 9 that we’ve integrated into our embedded media player.
It is really easy to use, we’ve added a red record button to the embedded video player on Channel 9.
Select the red record button to start recording. Select it again when you are done.
Specify the title of the clip(s) you’ve recorded.
Select Save. That is it!
The clips are available from your Channel 9 Profile page. We also provide links to clips below each of our videos to clips we and the community have created.
Link to it from your blog, share your clips with your friends and family.
We’re using it to show you the segments of videos we like such as demos, specific questions that are answered and more.
Of course you could always drum up some great ideas yourself and put them to action because Channel 9 is hiring.
This is an interesting little concept I ran across today.

Google has put out a blog search engine. Despite the fact that people have been clamoring for this for months, it may surprise you to realize that this makes Google the first to market with a homegrown blog search of any major search engine.
Of all the places to write a blog post ...
This one's being posted from sea, crossing the GULF (from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia) onboard the Joseph and Clara Smallwood.
It's not often you get the opportunity to write a blog post while catching a few rays on the deck of a rather 'large' ship.
Im "posting" this from the Halifax airport, gotta love free wireless! The Rolling Stones concert was absolutely UNREAL, I'll post more on it when I get home.
Amanda and I are heading off to see one of my all time favorite bands, and possibly the most legendary rock and roll band of all time, The Rolling Stones. We will be taking in the concert Saturday in Moncton NB and puttering about Fredricton, Moncton, Halifax and Prince Edward Island for a couple of days.
I hope everyone that asked for the PowerPoint slide-deck on site definitions received it. I had a little trouble with my email so if you asked for it and didn't get it send me another request, everything is ok now.
See you when I get back in a few days!
