I am a huge advocate of CSS and web standards however I am also very aware that there are limitations of CSS based design not to mention huge (overhead) factors to take into account especially for small low-budget websites that are redone every other month.
I find myself at a crossroads with CSS every single time I sit down to figure something out. I know I can do it in tables faster, easier but I also know that eventually CSS will lead the way and my instinct tells me CSS should be used from this point out. That doesn't mean tables should be completely ruled out however as there are times when they are helpful.
